The couple, who have been in the public eye for their high-profile relationship, have finally made it official, much to the delight of their fans. 

Their wedding has been celebrated widely, with numerous posts, pictures, and videos circulating online, showcasing the details of the event. 

The ceremony was also praised for its elegance and the evident love between Davido and Chioma, Fans and well-wishers have flooded social media with congratulatory messages and well wishes for the newlyweds.

The wedding which was strictly by invitation was mostly graced by dignitaries; politicians and high net-worth individuals. This left online in-laws, well wishers and invited guests who were stuck in traffic constantly refreshing their social media timelines for more details of the event. 

Nigerians react to Chioma and Davido's wedding

Nigerians, in their usual fashion, took to social media, some to congratulate the couple and others to share their thoughts on the union. 

Here are some of the reactions that trailed the wedding on social media. 

Former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, congratulated the newlyweds on social media. He posted: “On behalf of my family, I most sincerely congratulate Davido and Chioma today as they begin their matrimonial journey with their traditional marriage ceremony.”  

Popular DJ, DJ Neptune also celebrated the couple on social media. He posted: “Happy married life 001 x 002 #chivido2024! The world is happy for you and yours, God bless and protect your home.”

@DavidEboh5 posted: “Congratulations. You both deserve your happiness and may God protect you always against bad people. Amen.” 

@bellaoflag1 posted: “The greatest guy, so loving and caring still con dey romantic join chaii.”

Reacting to the picture of the couple, @Tooshugary4U posted: “Una too fine abeg, perfect combi but make that marriage last ooo.”

Another netizen, TaurusAk47 posted: “Money sweet since 3 days now una don change clothes pass 100 for this wedding. I must make money ooo.”

@Danielonwodi posted: Congratulations to the Adelekes. “Una look cute together joor. As we wey be fans no fit attend make una show us small love.”

Criticising Chioma’s outfit for the wine carrying ceremony, @MasterAdetoye posted: “So na Igbo traditional attire for bride be this? This is bad, revealing and unethical. Why would a bride dress naked like this on her big day?”

Also casting judgement on the couple, @sales_unwana posted: “Pity the fact that you remain an understanding wife for a cheating husband.”

Defending the couple against naysayers, @ChuksOhaxx also posted: “All the people that dont like this wedding. Keep your bitter opinions to your useless self.”
