  • Nigerian influencer Saida Boj has called out a Nigerian pastor who condemned her beliefs during a church service.
  • In a viral video, the pastor accused Saida of being a bad influence on young women, claiming she encourages them to become "run girls" and stray from the church
  • Firing back, Saida labelled the pastor a "demon at home," igniting a wave of reactions from netizens

A heated social media clash has erupted after influencer Sarah Ojone popularly known as Saida Boj called out a Nigerian pastor for publicly criticising her during a church service.

The pastor accused Saida Boj of leading young girls astray, claiming she promotes promiscuity and distances them from Christian teachings.

During his sermon, the pastor stated, “We have a girl that is reigning now, and many girls want to be like her; her name is Saida Boj. Can I say this with all due respect to your media freaks? “You are making our girls more of runs girls than church girls. And everyone is clapping for her. She's on the media talking boldly. I mean, a prostitute that has been given class.”

His words sparked outrage, prompting Saida Boj to take to social media to defend herself in a fiery response on Wednesday, February 19.

She fiercely condemned the pastor’s statements, implying that he might be a pastor who presents himself as benevolent in public but mistreats his family behind closed doors. “You are a fake pastor. Over Sabi pastor," she asserted.

"If you want to know the truth about men like this, ask their wives. Pastor in church and demon at home. I know men like you, and for a man of God as you claim, because … I fit swear to say anointing no dey your head…

The social media influencer did not only defend her character but also challenged the pastor's interpretation of his faith.

Even if I am a prostitute like you say, our God that you claim to worship, did he ever for once push prostitutes away, or speak angrily about them? He brought them closer more than the righteous ones,” she stated, highlighting the compassionate nature of the divine as opposed to the judgment she felt from the pastor.

She also questioned the authenticity of the pastor’s leadership in his own church, asking, “Is it God you follow or somebody else?” While addressing his congregation, she said, “I pity anybody wey dey go this man church, listening to… If you are a true man of God, tell me where you see God doing that.” Referring to his financial dealings, she added, “You are against me telling girls not to date broke men, while you take money from the poor to establish yourself.”

Saida Boj concluded her response by warning the pastor that while he may deceive others, bringing her into the conversation will only expose the truth.

“This is annoying,” Nigerians react as Adeboye claims prayers saved naira from further decline

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A. Adeboye, stated that, without divine intervention, the exchange rate could have reached ₦10,000 for $1.

Speaking at the Special Holy Ghost Congress in Abuja, he attributed Nigeria’s financial struggles to its reliance on fuel imports and non-operational refineries.
