Recently, Sabinus trended on social media after being accused of extramarital affairs and domestic abuse. However, the blogger responsible for the claims later reached out, apologising for fabricating the story.
In a series of chats shared by Sabinus on Facebook, the blogger admitted to being a devoted fan and said he was merely "catching cruise" with the false allegations.
He apologised for taking things too far and revealed he had deleted the post. The blogger, who is also a father, explained that he was trying to raise money for content creation equipment.
He further expressed deep regret over his actions, acknowledging the harm he had caused by misleading people. After taking down all posts accusing Sabinus of domestic violence and neglecting his fatherly duties, he vowed to change his ways.
Oga Sabinus reacts to false allegations
In response, Sabinus condemned the growing trend of bloggers tarnishing celebrities' reputations without proof. He expressed frustration over how easily people believe unverified stories, stating:
"Rate at which blogger condemns, tarnishes, disfigures, defames, slanders and blackmails to get massive attention now a day is highly alarming and I think it’s high time it stopped!!!
“Imagine what Afrocania wrote about me without video evidence, picture evidence or even voicenote evidence and people are quick to believe. Mehn When you write something about people abeg show evidence of where the person talk am.
“We celebrities are human too we are not spirit. Now read what the person is telling me below, Everything is cruise to this bloggers."
