Popular Nigerian content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has made a U-turn on his call to help raise N30 million for his colleague and girlfriend Jarvis to undergo tumour surgery.
Jarvis earlier opened up about her jaw tumour a week after online critics alleged that she abandoned her career to just be Peller’s girlfriend.
In an Instagram video, on Tuesday, October 29, Peller, who had earlier called for the N30 million surgery help, disclosed that he was only joking about the financial help. He noted that Jarvis was perfectly fine.
This also came after the TikToker was called out on social media for claiming that Jarvis needed N30 million for her jaw surgery in disguise for their selfish reason.
“Please, listen to me. Yesterday I was in a live video and na so we dey joke for there. Na one comment section I see, I come dey joke with the comment section. Jarvis is doing fine. She no need kobo. Calm down! No be say me I dey use am to beg.” he said.
Jarvis also lent a voice to what Peller said earlier and cleared the air that she was doing fine and didn't need any such financial help.
“Actually, I'm doing fine. He was just cruising about it.” Jarvis added.
Peller calls for N30 million financial help for Jarvis
In an earlier video, on Monday, October 28, Peller had addressed fans and sought for financial help to aid Jarvis’ medical surgery.
“Jarvis is not here. I want to tell all of you that we need help. No be say I need help o. Me I get money. I use money do a lot of thing for that her tumour. So, the money Wey Dem wan use treat that tumor is about N30 million.
See, I no say make you…if you no get siddon and shut up. No say its lies. It is like N30 million that she needs to do the operation. So, I don open GoFundMe for her. Guys, it's only a few that would know when I'm joking and when I'm serious,” Peller pleaded.
