Nigeria singer Oladapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D'banj, has teased a new album release, emphasizing that he never left the music industry.

Best known for his ‘Oliver Twist’ hit record, Dbanj’s new album, ‘The Entertainer: D’Sequel’, shares the same title as his 2008 album. It will be released at midnight, on Friday, August 16.

In a short promotional video clip, posted on X (formerly Twitter), on Tuesday, August 13, D’banj addressed people's constant questions asking if he was back to making music.

Just because a soldier rests his gun doesn't mean he is no longer a shooter. People keep asking me if I'm back, if I'm back. How can I be back when I never left?

I am the Entertainer. I'm D’banj or Skibanj like my Jamaican friends call me. Kapela is what my South African friends call me. Mensah like my Ghanaians call me…the Koko Master, importer and exporter.”

Meanwhile, the video, which followed a dramatic approach, saw the appearance of popular Music producer Don Jazzy, signalling their teamwork on the upcoming album.

The album is said to include remakes of D’banj’s notable hit records such as Fall in Love, Igwe, Feli Feli and Suddenly
