The infamous Nigerian chef and restauranteur, Hilda Effiong Bassey known as Hilda Baci, and the former holder of the Guinness World Record for marathon cooking (cook-athon) found herself at the centre of a heated controversy after her fiancé, Damilola Akinwunmi, aka Dapper, was accused of exploitation and mismanagement of funds by two former artistes, Shallipopi and Muyeez, on his record label, Dapper Music and Entertainment Limited. 

Shallipopi, known for his hit song "Cast," publicly announced his departure from Dapper Music on December 11, 2024, in a released statement titled ‘Standing Up for Artists and Creators Everywhere’ with the details of a series of grievances that led to his departure from Dapper Music. With Seyi Vibez protege Muyeez following and releasing another statement concerning the record label’s exploitation.

In 2023, Hilda Baci revealed her lover to the public, while at a birthday party. Although she hid his face. Through investigation by fans, it became public knowledge that Hilda Baci and Dapper Music and Entertainment Limited's founder, Dapper were officially in a relationship. 

The allegations have sparked a widespread debate, with many calling for greater accountability and transparency in the music industry. The drama unfortunately brought attention to Dapper’s celebrity chef girlfriend, Hilda Baci.

Dapper  Records' response to Shallipopi and Muyeez's exit

Hours after Shallipopi and Muyeez announced their departure from Dapper Music and Dvpper Digital, The record label denied the allegations, calling them false and misleading for alleged financial misappropriation.
