In a brutal and tense nomination session, Kellyrae, Victoria, Sooj, Kassia, Chizoba, Shaun, Topher, Ben, and Ozee were nominated for possible eviction in the ongoing Big Brother Naija Season 9 “No Loose Guard” edition.
The nine housemates were nominated by their fellow housemates during the never-before-seen Live Nomination show on Monday, September 9. Each housemate was given a marker and a paper and were scattered in strategic places around the house. The housemates were given three minutes to write down the names of two housemates they would want to nominate for possible eviction. After the housemates had written the names, they were all called back to the lounge area of the house. In an awkward turn of events, Big Brother called each housemate to reveal the names of the housemates they nominated, which has never happened before in the history of Big Brother Naija. One of the housemates, Topher shot himself in the foot and got nominated automatically for not following instructions, Big Brother had told the housemates to nominate two housemates each, but he only nominated one.
According to Big Brother, at least one of the nominated housemates will be evicted on Sunday. Nominated housemates are also not allowed to canvass for votes, discuss nominations or conspire. Viewers are expected to vote for their favourite housemate to keep them on the show as the housemate with the lowest votes will be evicted from the Big Brother Naija house. Voting opens at 9 pm West African Time on Mondays and closes at 10 pm on Thursdays.

The theme for the week was Like Play Like Play, and housemates were required to create a make-believe world of a superhero, a villain and characters to support their missions, whether for good or ill.
