BBNaija: Onyeka receives multiple gifts from individual fans

Onyeka Chigbo, a former Big Brother Naija housemate and second runner-up of the Season 9 ‘No Loose Guard’ edition, has received multiple gifts from fans since the show ended. Onyeka is no stranger to love and attention from her fans, but something quite unique has happened since she left the show. 

While it’s common for fanbases to come together and shower their favourite housemates with gifts as a collective, as seen with other housemates this season, Onyeka has received individual gifts from different fans, each trying to outdo the other. 

From luxury items to thoughtful gestures, it’s almost as if a silent competition has started, with fans eager to send the best gift. This has only raised the bar for the much-anticipated fanbase collective gift that is yet to come, leaving everyone wondering just how grand it will be.

During one of her media rounds at a radio station in Lagos on Friday, October 11, a fan from the Diaspora who identified herself as Tina sent a money bouquet and a wrapped box in the presence of other housemates. 

Onyeka also revealed that she received a jewellery box from a fan, although she did not post it. This raises the question of how many other gifts she has received that she chose not to post about.  

On Monday, October 14, two other fans surprised Onyeka with money bouquets, balloons, food trays, and a tall money cake to show their love and support for her. This might have set a new precedent for how fans shower their favourite housemates with gifts. 

Other housemates have also received gifts from their fan bases; Topher received N3 million and the Mbadiwe twins, Ozee and Ocee received money bouquets and food trays. 

Fans react to Onyeka’s gifts from individual fans

Many fans celebrated with Onyeka for her gifts and said she should expect more as she deserves only the best treatment possible. Some fans pointed out that there seemed to be a competition, and whoever won would have Onyeka’s heart. Others thanked the fans who sent gifts and threw shade at other fanbases who did not do the same for their favourite housemate.

BBNaija: Fans surprise Chinwe with N20 million and other gifts on her birthday

Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that former Big Brother Naija housemate, Chinwe Elibe, received a whooping sum of N20 million and other gifts on her 31st birthday on Wednesday, September 11. 

Her fans presented her with money, two gigantic money cakes and other gifts to show their love and support for her.
