Renowned Nigerian Islamic singer, Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso has reportedly passed away.

The news of her death was announced on Tuesday, September 24, by a prominent Illorin-based cleric, Alfa Aribidesi At-Tawadeeh, via his official Facebook page.
“Our Sympathy goes to the family of Ruqayat Gawat for this great lost!May Allah forgive her shortcomings!
RUQAYAT GAWAT IS GONE!” he wrote.
Also confirming the news, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Jubril Gawat, who is a relative of the deceased, took to his X (formerly Twitter) page to express his condolences.
