As crypto enthusiasts await the listing of the $X Empire token for trading on major crypto exchanges like KuCoin and Bybit on October 24, players of the game in Nigeria have complained of poor token allocation and exclusion.

X Empire, one of the popular Play to Earn cryptocurrency projects built on the TON blockchain and hosted on Telegram, started allocating the $XEMP token on October 18. The game's developers said the allocation was based on the players' participation level.

“The key criteria (for the airdrop allocation) were exactly what I’ve written about before: Number and quality of invited friends; profit per hour; number of completed quests,” Alex Falcon, X Empire founder, wrote in a Telegram channel message. Each of the above criteria earned points, which were then summed up, and the drop was distributed proportionally to the points. The most important criterion is active friends. We’re all about the community, and the community = active people. Each friend was also evaluated based on points. The more a friend levelled up and was active in quests, the more points they contributed.”

Despite the claimed success of the airdrop, some players of the game, especially in Nigeria, have taken to social media X (formerly Twitter) to complain of poor allocations to them and exclusion entirely.

Some claimed they spent months playing the game and were disappointed when they were informed that they did not qualify to receive any token at all.

@aba_your posted: I still don't understand why the $X Empire @xempiregame

 developers decided to mess things up. I put in two months of playing the game and inviting people, only to be told that I did not qualify to receive any airdrop. What is most painful is that nothing, not even 1 $X token was allocated to me. I know several others who put in the work but ended up receiving nothing. To say the least, this is very appalling and discouraging. It's a clear case of exclusion of some of us from the global south.”

A Nigerian crypto influencer captured the minds of thousands of Nigerians who were affected by the strange allocation by the X Empire team.

A Nigerian crypto influencer on X, who identifies simply as Pending Ustaz, posted a much more detailed complaint that captured the mood and mind of thousands of impacted Nigerians.

Dear @xempiregame team,
Many dedicated individuals have worked tirelessly for months, contributing to the growth and success of the X Empire project. However, when these users checked their allocations, they were shocked to find they received nothing. Meanwhile, certain influencers I included seem to have been granted allocations in the crores of X Tokens. This is not only unfair but disheartening to those who have been the true pillars of the project, dedicating their time and effort from the very beginning.
I implore you to address this issue urgently. These users, who have been the backbone of X Empire, deserve recognition and fair compensation for their contributions. It is essential to ensure that allocation is provided to everyone who has put in the work and believed in this project. Their dedication has been the driving force behind X Empire’s progress, and they should not be overlooked.
Please reconsider and provide fair and just allocation to everyone. They are the foundation upon which X Empire stands.
