One of the breakout meme coins of 2024, Just a Chill Guy (CHILLGUY), has experienced a significant price crash. The trading price has declined by 15.28% to $0.1768 in the past 24 hours.
According to Coinmarketcap data, the decline also affected the coin’s market capitalisation, which crashed by 15.01% to $176.85 million in the past day. This is a significant figure given that the coin’s market cap has yet to hit the half-a-billion dollar mark and entrench itself in the market.
The 24-hour decline started at about 5:35 p.m. on January 6, 2025, when it traded at about $0.2117. Since then, it has seen a steady decline to $0.2006 at 6:30 p.m. and $0.1951 at 11:50 p.m. The decline continued today (January 7): $0.1931 at about 4 a.m., $0.1904 at 11:30 a.m., $0.1782 at 4:25 p.m., and further down to $0.1768 at about 5:05 p.m.

Bitcoin continues to maintain market dominance, with a dominance rate of 56.39%, an increase of 0.36% over the day.

How crypto influencer was kidnapped and killed
Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that on November 13, authorities in Montreal, Canada, said the dead body of a crypto influencer identified as Kevin Mirshahi was recovered. Local media reports revealed that the body was found at Île-de-la-Visitation park in Montreal’s Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough.
According to local media, The Gazette, a passerby discovered the decomposing body at the nature park around 10am on October 30. After the police were informed, an autopsy was conducted, and the body was identified as Kevin Mirshahi.
