- Dangote Refinery released the list showing the prices of fuel per litre at its partners’ retail outlets nationwide
- The refinery’s partners are MRS, Ardova Plc (AP), Heyden, Optima Energy, TechnOil, and Hyde
- The list was released following the reduction in ex-depot price of fuel by Dangote, which forced the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited to do the same
Dangote Refinery has released the price of fuel per litre at its partners’ retail outlets nationwide.
The list was contained in a post shared on the company’s official X handle on Tuesday, April 22, urging Nigerians to buy better and affordable Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly called petrol, from its partners.
According to the company, its retail partners are MRS, Ardova Plc (AP), Heyden, Optima Energy, TechnOil, and Hyde.
Dangote Refinery said its partners’ retail outlets are to sell fuel at N890 per litre in Lagos and N900 per litre in the South West.
It fixed the price of fuel in the North West and North Central at N910 per litre, while the product is to be sold at N920 in the North East, South-South, and South East regions of the country.
Dangote had announced a reduction in ex-depot price of fuel
The release of the prices of fuel per litre at its partners’ retail outlets nationwide follows the recent announcement by Dangote Refinery of a reduction in its ex-depot price to N835 per litre from N865.
The announcement on April 16 came just six days after the refinery reduced the ex-depot price of fuel to N865 from N880 per litre.
Dangote’s fuel price reduction forced NNPCL to do the same
The reduction in fuel price by Dangote Refinery in recent times triggered a price war with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
The NNPCL reduced fuel pump price to N880 in Lagos and N935 in Abuja on Monday, April 21.
With NNPCL’s pump price in Lagos lower than that of Dangote, there are indications that the price war between both companies will continue.
Dangote refinery to refund N65 per litre to marketers following petrol price reduction
Meanwhile, TheRadar earlier reported that Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals announced a N65 per litre refund to marketers who previously purchased Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, at higher rates before the recent price reduction.
The initiative aimed to ensure that Nigerians benefit from more affordable fuel. The refinery recently reduced its ex-depot price from N890 per litre to N825 per litre.
