Spotlight on Super Eagles players in other top leagues

As pre-season preparations get underway, Nigerian footballers are making headlines across Europe with standout performances.

Samuel Chukwueze had a thrilling performance for AC Milan in their 4-3 win over Barcelona. He played a key role by setting up Milan’s first goal, demonstrating his skill and creativity on the big stage.

Ademola Lookman scored for Atalanta, but his goal wasn’t enough to prevent a 4-1 loss to Parma in a pre-season friendly. Despite the defeat, Lookman’s goal shows he’s in good form as the new season approaches.

In Germany, Victor Boniface is looking to build on his impressive season with Bayer Leverkusen. Last season, Boniface scored 21 goals and provided ten assists, helping Leverkusen win their first-ever Bundesliga title.

As Leverkusen prepares for the new season, Boniface is focused on continuing his success, with the team set to play against Stuttgart in the German Super Cup.

Victor Osimhen was missing from Napoli’s 2-1 defeat, leading to increased speculation about a possible transfer away from the club. His absence has, however, raised questions about his future as the transfer window continues.

Paris Olympics 2024: Ofilli, Oborududu fall short as Ogazi books final spot against all odds

Previously, TheRadar reported that Nigerian medal hopefuls Ofilli and Oborududu lost the opportunity to compete for a podium spot in their final games at the 2024 Olympics. Favour Ofilli and Blessing Oborududu, both expected to do well, failed to win medals in their events.

Ofilli struggled in the crucial sprint final and did not meet the high expectations of supporters, disappointing fans.

Similarly, Oborududu also missed out on a bronze medal, which has further lowered Nigeria’s chances of medal success.
