- Bashir Ahmad forecasted a Real Madrid-Arsenal Champions League final
- Real Madrid eliminated Manchester City and prepared to face Bayern Munich
- Arsenal overcame Bayer Leverkusen and will meet Sporting CP in the quarter-finals
Bashir Ahmad, the ex-media aide to former Muhammadu Buhari, has predicted that Real Madrid will face Arsenal in this season’s UEFA Champions League final in June.
Ahmad, a well-known Real Madrid supporter, made the prediction following the completion of the Round of 16. Real Madrid eliminated Manchester City and are now set to face Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals.
On the other side of the draw, Arsenal will meet Sporting CP in the quarter-finals after overcoming Bayer Leverkusen in the Round of 16.
Commenting on X (formerly Twitter), Ahmad wrote:
“It is starting to feel inevitable that we are going to have a Real Madrid vs Arsenal UCL final. Anyway, Real Madrid are a different breed when it comes to finals. So let’s have it.”
If the prediction comes true, it would mark a high-profile clash between one of Europe’s most successful clubs and a resurgent Arsenal side, adding further excitement to the conclusion of the 2025/26 Champions League season.
