Nigerian international Ademola Lookman scored on his debut for Atlético Madrid as the Spanish side defeated Real Betis 5-0 in the Copa del Rey quarter-final on Thursday night.
Lookman, 28, joined Atlético from Atalanta earlier this week and made an immediate impact by finishing a counter-attack in the 37th minute. David Hancko opened the scoring, followed by Giuliano Simeone before Lookman’s goal. Antoine Griezmann and Thiago Almada added the fourth and fifth goals for Atlético.
Atlético Madrid and Real Betis will face each other again on Sunday in LaLiga.
