  • Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez faced difficulty in enrolling their children in an elite Portuguese school
  • St. Julian's College, a prestigious bilingual school, declined to admit Ronaldo's kids
  • The school has an annual tuition fee ranging from €11,000 to €18,000

Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo and his wife Georgina Rodríguez, one of the world’s most recognizable power couples, are known for their lavish lifestyle and dedication to providing the best for their children. However, despite their immense wealth and celebrity status, securing the right school for their kids hasn’t been as easy as expected.

As part of their long-term plans, Ronaldo and Georgina began exploring prestigious schools in Portugal, with an eye on the footballer’s eventual retirement. One of the top contenders was the illustrious St. Julian's College, renowned for its state-of-the-art facilities and the high-profile children who attend.

This elite institution, located in the upscale Carcavelos region near Lisbon, seemed like the perfect choice for Ronaldo’s kids. However, much to their surprise, the application was denied. Despite Cristiano’s iconic status, the school's existing community raised concerns about the disruption his family could bring.

According to local reports, some parents at St. Julian's expressed their worries over the potential media frenzy that would follow the enrollment of Ronaldo's children.

This information was revealed by a journalist specialising in celebrity affairs on the program V+Fama. Silva Martins mentioned that families have questioned the school's ability to ensure the privacy of other students.

“Some parents do not want the school to become a constant target for the media, fearing it will alter the routine for all students,” explained the journalist, who noted that Cristiano and Georgina visited the educational centre in Lisbon, only to learn that their children would not be accepted.

The tuition at St. Julian’s ranges from €11,000 to €18,000 per year, making it accessible only to a privileged few. While the school is exclusive, it also fosters a strong sense of community, with students belonging to one of four houses from their first day to graduation. This connection, along with the parents' privacy concerns, contributed to the school's decision to reject the footballer’s children.

Ronaldo’s legacy in Portugal may be legendary, but fame does not always guarantee access, as seen by this unexpected setback in their search for the perfect school for their kids.
